What to Confirm Before Specifying

Ask the supplier for actual test data: a specific autoclave cycle count at a specific temperature, a chemical compatibility list naming the actual disinfectants tested, and biocompatibility certification if the connector has any patient-contact potential. A connector described only as "medical grade" without those numbers behind it is a marketing label, not a specification — and in an environment where a connector failure has consequences well beyond an inconvenient repair, that distinction is worth the extra question before ordering.
